Coronavirus Update

We're running this course under the current health and safety measures put in place as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. The course now takes place outside where we can socially distance. We will be providing hand sanitizer for students to be able to us and no camera or equipment will be shared.

This 10-week course is the perfect introduction to digital photography. We teach you how to get the best out of your camera whether it be a DSLR, Mirrorless, Bridge or any form of camera. We also introduce you to basic image manipulation techniques using Photoshop. 

During the course we cover:

• Getting to know your camera
• Shooting modes
• Composition
• Working with light
• Downloading and processing your images
• Basic image editing in Photoshop (cropping, levels adjustments, retouching).

Throughout the course, we teach these photographic techniques in loosely themed informal projects that allow you to express your creativity and understanding of photography without having to produce any formal or written coursework/exams.

Further study

Upon completion of this first course, you have the option of progressing onto our level 2 course which is a significant step up in difficulty from Level 1. Although this is quite a step up from the first course, students will find it is a seamless transition as your photography knowledge increases.
